Well our day started at 5am where we had a taxi into Gatwick. We had our breakfast at the airport and had a slow mosey around before being called to board the plane. Eeek!! Well the flight was 8 hours and 40 minutes long, we entertained ourselves with various games and films (thank god we had the nexus) before finally disembarking at 12.30 local time (7.30pm back home). We proceeded to get a taxi to the hotel where we would spend the next 2 nights. Determined to synchronise ourselves with the Canadian time zone we headed out to Calgary where we tried to find somewhere nice to eat, after an hour of walking we found a nice steak place, where we had chicken fingers and chips (Jamie is a fussy eater). We then proceeded to head back to the hotel for a much needed good night's sleep.
