After a long drive yesterday, today was a much quieter day. We had planned a hike up to the Athabasca Falls, but on reaching the car park we realised there wasn't actually much of a walk! Still, we walked around the waterfall, and around the rivers up and below.
With plenty of the day to spare, we headed north to the nearby town of Jasper. Much like Banff and Canmore, Jasper is probably considered to be a major town, but yet is quite small in comparison to any town in the UK. We had a short walk around the town, and eventually sat down to finally take the time to plan our route over to Vancouver and our stop offs on the way.
After booking our camp sites and looking up some places to visit, we decided to get something to eat. There looked to be plenty of nice places, but unfortunately the place we chose perhaps wasn't the best. Despite picking the most interesting thing on the menu (spaghetti and meat sauce... with a steak on top) it wasn't great to eat.. Bland, and a bit cold.
Calling it a day, we headed back to our campgrounds.
